Blackburn's Technical School (Old college building) |
Blackburn technical school (Blackburn College) is a grade II listed
building. Built to celebrate Queen Victoria’s golden jubilee,
and one of Blackburn’s most outstanding pieces of architecture.
The foundation stone was laid in 1888 by the Prince and Princess
of Wales. Based on Feilden Street it has been a seat of learning
since 1889, and has been incorporated into Blackburn’s college
campus.
